-- Rich Dreher's CompactFlash for Apple II storage device has begun 
shipping for the 3rd and possibly final run of the card.  Able to use 
either a CompactFlash module as a solid-state storage option, or as an IDE 
control card, the device has proved popular with those folk who have used

-- Not to be outdone, Joachim Lange's MicroDrive interface card has also 
been outfitted to use CompactFlash storage media.  Most Apple II users are 
familiar with the MicroDrive as an all-in-one IDE hard-drive option.

-- Robotics and the Apple II aren't new, but a project by "A2Addict" shows 
how a robot based on an Apple //e can built that interacts with the people 
around him/her/it.  Pictures and information about this 6502-based 1 mhz

--Several Apple II or Apple II-related game titles were announced as new: 

 -Gamers who remember the classic "digger" will want to try out the 
drHirudo clone called "Garden."  The game, including the sourcecode can be

 -Eamon gamers will be interested in the new adventure, "The Tomb of 
Razaak."  Written by David Owens, this science-fiction takes you, a 
mercenary, through adventures and mazes in true Eamon fashion.  The game 
can be downloaded at:  http://www.eamonag.org/lists/list-download.htm Note 
that if you choose the zipped DOS3.3 or ProDOS links you will get all 250 
Eamon games.


-- Emulation News 

 -Virtual ][, Gerard Putter's //e emulator, has been upgraded to version 
3.4.  The new upgrade includes various bugfixes as well as new printing 
emulation:  The program now emulates a Grappler+ printer interface card 
and drops the "generic" printer card option, and also supports 
user-defined characters for an emulated Epson FX-80 printer.
